Deputation Report for March and April

Dear Pastors and Churches,
First Year of Deputation
We are in our 12th month of deputation, give or take a few weeks. We have been in 49 churches, 8 missions conferences, 9 states, driven over 50,000 miles and are now about 25% of our needed support. I can't number all the people we've met or even those who have helped us along the way. We have stayed in dozens of missions homes and homes of church members who have the gift of hospitality. We have seen the Gulf Coast of Texas, the Rockies of Colorado, the wilderness of West Texas, the Piney woods of East Texas, the farms of Indiana and Illinois. We've crossed the Mississippi twice and hundreds of smaller rivers and creeks between Arizona and Ohio.
We are now enjoying the blessings of God through a loving family in East Texas who have given us a travel trailer and truck for the duration of deputation. We have been fired from our camp job in Flagstaff after having to choose between deputation or working for the camp. We have lost one home due to this choice but the Lord more than blessed through the gift of our new home on wheels. We are excited and looking forward to all the Lord has in store for our second year of deputation. It has been an eventful year filled with surprises and blessings, anything but routine and surpassing our expectations of God's provision and the goodness of God's people.

Last Few Months
The end of March saw LeeOra and I in Colorado we presented the 1st Vision mission at Bible Baptist Church in Trindad where Andy Ohman pastors and that evening at Landmark Baptist Church in Walsenberg where Dan Hessler is Pastor. Later that week we attended the Missions Conference at Heritage Baptist Church hosted by Pastor Chuck Bigler. Much thanks to the churches for their hospitality and to the Goodwins who put us up in their home during this week.
In April we picked up the travel trailer and truck from the Smallwoods in North Texas and visited in their church that Sunday night. We spent a week at our home church in Santa Fe rejoicing with them over answered prayer concerning the travel trailer. Finally, we went back to Flagstaff to round up some belongings and gear for our new home and then it was back on the deputation trail.
The last of April we had services in Indiana and Ohio. First we had a great service at Faith Baptist Church in West Harrison, Indiana where Bro. Larry Schmaltz is the pastor. It was great catching up with the Schmaltz since they were on deputation several years ago in our church in Farmers Branch, Texas. The following Sunday we presented our burden for Flagstaff at Southland Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio where James Love is the pastor. Bro. James and I attended college and have taken a few missions trips to Mexico together. It was a pleasure to spend time with him as missionary and pastor. While in the Tri-state area I also attend conferences in Kentucky and Ohio with Bro. Love and Bro. Darrell Sparks of Dearborn Baptist Church. Bro. Sparks was kind enough to let us park our travel trailer on the church property for the month the we were here in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

Support
We are happy to announce another supporting church, Evergreen Baptist Church where Jonathon McCollough is the pastor, has joined us in the work of building a independent Baptist Church in Flagstaff, Az. Our regular monthly support in March was 907.00 and April was $675.00. Our church missions secretary was having some software issues and we may have missed reporting some of the offerings in April to me. The money came through just not the totals for me to include here. We thank all of our supporting churches for their prayers and continued confidence in us as we continue deputation and prepare for our work in Flagstaff, Az.
