New Job, New Bible Study As Spring Arrives

Dear Pastors, Churches, Family and Friends,

One of my more remote inspections
My apologies for missing last month’s mission report. I have finally found a job and the training and new job adjustments kept me busy until I realized I had not put anything out for April. The job is not ideal but does leave me time to do mission work. I drive around at my own expense and do property inspections for mortgage companies. It does expose me to lots of the town and usually is only a 2 to 3 day work week. It is not great pay but once I have the ropes down I hope to be able to incorporate my route with literature distribution for the church work. LeeOra also has an interview for a receptionist job in June please pray that this might also be an answer to prayer. We have been seriously hindered by the lack of jobs in getting the work moving forward.

We are grateful for a new Bible study with a man who doesn’t believe in God, the Bible, Heaven or Hell. He has consented to meet with us once a week to see if there is any evidence for him to consider. I have put together a series of lesson called “The Bible Bible Study” I know it corny but the idea is to study the Bible itself. Is it a reliable revelation of God? Is there evidence from ancient sources and manuscripts to back up its claims? Does history or archeology confirm of contradict the Bible? As a Christian you already know the answer to these questions but in this day and age of post modern philosophy and relativism most people simple right the Bible off as just another religious book, okay for you but not for me. Using Josh McDowell’s book “Evidence that Demands a Verdict” and adding other research and study I am praying this will open this man’s eyes to the truth of the Bible and then to the truth of the Gospel. Please pray for us and for him.

Rudy and Cheri at Desert View Tower, Grand Canyon
We were overjoyed to have Pastor Rudy and Cheri Rios from Temple Baptist Church and Cheri’s parents the Pauls from Evergreen Baptist Church drop by for a quick visit. They took a long detour from Phoenix where they attended a graduation service for Shawn Paul and come by to encourage us. Together we made a run to the Grand Canyon and visited for a too short day. It was a fresh breath for us to see such good personal friends and supporters of our vision here in Flagstaff.

Lauren and Jorge
At the end of May I will travel back to Texas and give my youngest daughter and last child away in marriage. Lauren has been such a blessing to our family coming along 6 years after her sister Susan. She was kept LeeOra and I young and now she is getting married. Please pray for her and Jorge Dominguez as they begin their life together and as they build their marriage upon the foundation of the Lord. Jorge was led to the Lord by Lauren and it was with great happiness that he asked for her hand in marriage and told me of his desire for them to be in church together. Also prayer for LeeOra and I as we travel back and forth to Texas for the wedding.

In His Service - Kris and LeeOra Minefee
