December Report "Winter Harbor"

December was a month of some travel, some visiting and some time spent with our home church. The first Sunday of the month we were with Lakeworth Baptist Church and pastor Jerry Locke. Bro. Jerry is a friend and a man who has been an inspiration to me personally for many years. We had a great time with the church family and enjoyed the hospitality of Jerry and Susan immensely.

The next Sunday we were in Kaufman, Texas with Southside Baptist Church and Pastor Harry Smith. Bro Harry and Sis Glenda are wonderful, warm people who have blessed our hearts many times.  We enjoyed meeting the church members of this work which is on the verge of really taking off. We also got to enjoy the Church Christmas Cantata that evening. Our first since we have been on deputation, it was a blessing.

We spent the rest of the holidays with our family in Channelview, Texas and saw a white Christmas in Texas again. (Someone forget to tell Mother Nature about global warming again.) It was so good to be with our family and with our home church family over the holidays.  Later we traveled to Nashville, Tn. and Florence, Ky. to be with our other children over the remainder of the holidays. While we were there we attended Dearborn Baptist Church and Pastor Darrell Sparks asked me to preach the Sunday evening service. As always the congregation was receptive and gracious.

December Offerings

Thanks to Holts Praire and Riverview Baptist that doubled their support during December and to Irving Baptist for a special Christmas offering. You have been used again by the Lord to touch our hearts and help in this work.

We appreciate all those that support us financially and prayerfully. After 20 months of deputation we are just over 30% of our goal. We are in praying for $4000 a month in support. This amount will allow us to rent a building/ home, help with personal expenses and purchase supplies needed for our ministry in Flagstaff Arizona.
